Finished model made of resin. As part of a tender from the Austrian Federal Army, Steyr Daimler Puch developed the one-ton Pinzgauer off-road vehicle at the end of the 1960s. The first major customer, however, was the Swiss Army, which purchased a total of around 6,300 vehicles from 1971 onwards. Of these, around 1,240 were the 6x6 version. This large number resulted from the expansion of the mechanized divisions at that time, when the Swiss militia army had increased to over 800,000 men.
