Plastic model kit of a British fighter jet from the 1940s. Although historically overshadowed by the Gloster Meteor, the de Havilland Vampire was the second jet fighter to enter Royal Air Force service, but it was also an extremely significant aircraft in its own right. The first RAF aircraft to fly faster than 500mph, the Vampire was also the first single-engined jet fighter to cross the Atlantic, making it one of the world's most important early jet aircraft. The FB.5 fighter-bomber was the most important variant of the aircraft. 1123 aircraft were built, of which 930 were in service with the Royal Air Force - those intended for overseas use were designated FB.9 and had air conditioning in the cockpit. 124 parts, length built 195.2 mm / width 250 mm / height 56 mm.
