Plastic model kit of a British WWII fighter aircraft. From a student pilot's point of view, the de Havilland Tiger Moth was a relatively stable and forgiving aircraft, with few handling shortcomings and generally tolerating the odd silly mistake by the novice pilot. The Tiger Moth quickly gained a reputation for being an easy aircraft to fly, but difficult to fly well. These characteristics seemed to make it the ideal aircraft to serve as basic training for a large number of pilots who would fly in combat during World War II. At the start of the war, the RAF had about 500 Tiger Moths in service, but requested hundreds more from flying clubs around the country. 91 parts, length built 161.5 mm / height 45 mm / width 217.9 mm.
