She and her sisters, the RMS Olympic and the HMHS Britannic, were to dominate the transatlantic voyage business for the White Star Line. Titanic's designers used the most advanced technology available at the time and the ship was popularly regarded as ""unsinkable"". During Titanic's maiden voyage, she collided with an iceberg at 11.40pm on Sunday 14 April 1912 and sank two hours and forty minutes later after breaking in two.
