"Plastic model kit of a space rocket. Includes detailed instructions and Willy Ley brochure. A manned 3-stage research rocket for controlled orbital flights. The first stage is a large vertically launched twin rocket engine with wings and features a pilot and co-pilot. This stage carries the 2nd and 3rd stages ""piggyback"". After burning out, the 1st stage is landed, fitted with engine nacelles and flown back to the launch point. The 2nd stage is an expendable rocket that carries the 3rd stage into orbit. The 3rd stage is also fitted with wings and rocket propulsion for re-entry and landing and features a pilot in the transparent cabin.The model includes a 3-stage rocket with transparent cabin, jettisonable fuel tanks and retractable landing gear, launch pad, 5 figures and stickers. All parts of the rocket can be separated. Cast in 3 colors and clear. Willy Ley was a German Science journalist and rocket designer who emigrated to the USA in the 1930s."
