1/48 Lafayette Carriage

Plastic model kit of a carriage with 42 parts. Includes two figures, two horses and a base. In 1832, President Monroe invited the Marquis de Lafayette to America to celebrate the 50th anniversary of American independence. Lafayette was given this carriage as a gift upon arrival and then traveled through the 22 states within 2 years, covering 6,000 miles. The original carriage is now in the Studebaker National Museum in South Bend, Indiana.
